Who Should Use This Semi-monthly Timesheet Calculator
A semi-monthly period occurs twice a month. This calculator uses days 1–15 or days 16 through the last date of the month. It differs from a biweekly period, which always contains fourteen consecutive days.
How to Use This Semi-monthly Timesheet Calculator
Choose the year, month and first or second half.
Enter clock-in, clock-out and unpaid break durations on each worked date. An end before its start is treated as the next day.
Choose the weekday on which your employer's fixed workweek starts before using a weekly overtime estimate. This tool supports a midnight boundary.
For workweeks extending outside this period, supply the adjacent dates' hours, including explicit zeros for days not worked. Missing context leaves weekly overtime and pay incomplete.
Review paid hours and any warnings, then print, export or sign in to save your dated record.
Frequently Asked Questions About Semi-monthly Timesheet Calculator
Does this period determine the overtime workweek?
No. A pay period and an overtime workweek are separate. Use the actual workweek start, thresholds and multipliers that apply to you. Missing adjacent-period hours prevent a complete weekly estimate.
How are overnight shifts handled?
An end earlier than its start continues into the next day and is assigned to the starting date. If it crosses an applicable daily or weekly midnight boundary, the overtime estimate is withheld until the entry is split into separately dated periods with the actual deductions. Daylight saving changes are not modeled.
Does the estimate establish legal overtime entitlement?
No. It applies your configured calculation rules. Coverage, exemptions, jurisdiction and employer policy require separate review.
